My good friend Scott is the owner of Meridian Helicopters.  He is located at the Savannah International Airport.  He is the only provider of helicopter flight instruction in the area.  For more information click feel free to contact him.

The most advnaced highschool program available in Savannah Georgia.

We were proud to give 100% of the profits from the 2011 Savannah Light Sport Expo to the Wounded Warrior Project!

TSA course required for all Instructors.  Click to take the test and then print off the certificate.

We are proud to be able to provide flight instruction for the Boy Scouts of America Aviation Merit Badge.  We believe that today's passion for aviation will create the leading force in aviation tomorrow.

Aviation Weather makes available to the aviation community text, digital and graphical forecasts, analysis, and observations of aviation-related weather variables. ADDS is a joint effort of NCAR Research Applications Program (RAP), Global Systems Division (GSD) of NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL), and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Aviation Weather Center (AWC).

An international organization dedicated exclusively to raising and maintaining the professional standing of the flight instructor in the aviation community, NAFI has served as the voice of aviation education since inception in 1967. We now move to enhance this original commitment, as general aviation faces new and exciting challenges. NAFI serves the full spectrum of the flight instructor community, and offers its members the finest benefit package available in aviation education. With our monthly publication of Mentor, MASTER INSTRUCTOR program, industry discounts, and seminars, NAFI recognizes flight instructors as the front line for quality control in the aviation world. So whether you are a CFl, an Ultralight Flight Instructor, a student pilot, or simply an interested individual, NAFI has something for you.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association or AOPA for short, is the worlds largest group of pilots.  This organization has an abundance of information for pilots as well as free safety courses and other useful products that you will find very useful.

International Aerobatics Club is a group that is dedicated to the safe flying of aerobatic maneuvers as well as the sport of aerobatics.  If you are looking to learn more about aerodynamics and see what it is like to fly on the edge of an aircrafts performance envelope, or you just want to have fun I would suggest looking into aerobatics.  Aerobatics not only help you learn how to fly the aircraft at the very edge of its performance envelope, but you can also take an unusual and upset attitude course.  This type of instruction can be invaluable to any pilot who gets into a bad situation.

Experimental Aircraft Association is a group of pilots and aviation enthusiasts focus on the idea of building their own aircraft.  This group of people love the idea of building and then flying their very own aircraft.  Most of these aircraft take many years to build, but each and everyone of those aircraft have subtle  touches and a deep attention to detail that many certified aircraft do not have.

Race to Ridgeland is a fun, safe, low effort, but challenging race. Participants are encouraged to carefully evaluate the weather, flying conditions, and the fitness of their aircraft and themselves before entering. If you would like to participate in the 2011 Race to Ridgeland, please contact Lee Logan via email at: leeloganster@gmail.com to give us some idea of participation level and to coordinate your race “handicap index” with you. We have the maximum speeds for most light aircraft, but if yours is unusual, rare, or has been significantly modified, we will have to “negotiate” an index in your case. There is no absolute requirement to pre-arrange an index, but it will be helpful in most cases. If you are confident you know your manufacturer’s stated sea level maximum speed (and that we have it right too!), then by all means, just run the race and turn in your time.

Savannah Aviation Association is a group of aviation enthusiasts who live in the Coastal Empire and Lowcoutry areas.
